Junior Sports Personality of the Year 2024

Marie-Claire Gueugan with Jeannine Carey

Gymnast Marie-Claire Gueugan becomes only the second-ever winner of this award.

Marie-Claire has so much determination, so much potential, and is always aspiring to be the best. She's never happy unless she has executed a move perfectly!

She continues to improve and pushes others along with her. She never fails to put a smile on all the coaches each session.

The club are very proud of all her new moves this year, and she surely will be a name to watch for future gymnastic achievements.

Junior Sports Personality of the Year 2023

A brand new award that was presented for the very first time this year, and the recipient is a remarkable young schoolboy, Charlie Davies.

Charlie Davies Charlie Davies

In July he had an operation to improve his eyesight, and for a while totally lost his sight. We know from his parents he really missed his football during that period as it was the highlight of his week; thankfully he recovered but he has since had another procedure. His parents tell us he practices his football all the time at home and absolutely loves it!

He is such a happy and positive chap, tries his best every session, his confidence has grown, his skills have improved, his shooting is brilliant and even got an appearance for his school "B" team.

The coaches think he totally deserves this award for his bravery, his enthusiasm, the progress he has made and just his love for football.

Charlie becomes the first ever recipient of the Junior Sports Person of the Year award.
